System Settings

In this page you can control system settings of Datapolis Process System, e.g you can define settings for the Datapolis timer jobs.

There are four types of Datapolis jobs that can be configured here:

1. Tasks Timer Job

Timer executes Datapolis tasks, actions and self-timers. It also starts and terminates Datapolis applications. It is advised to have at least one “Minutes” job of this type.

Minimum number of instances: 0
Maximum number of instances: 30

2. Synchronization Timer Job

Ensures integrity of SharePoint and Datapolis databases.

Minimum number of instances: 0
Maximum number of instances: 1

3. Cleaner Timer Job

Removes terminated tasks and old history events. It removes history events for missing SharePoint objects and clears old configuration.

Minimum number of instances: 0
Maximum number of instances: 1

This job has additional configuration that is shared between all instances.
Leaving a field empty will make the corresponding part of the job functionality to be disabled.

4. Workflow Status Timer Job

It removes WBXml records for nonexistent/corrupted/terminated/removed workflows.

Minimum number of instances: 0
Maximum number of instances: 1

Although all the timer job definitions have the minimum number of instances equal to 0, it is advised that there is at least one job of each type.

To add a new instance of the job click on the “Add job” or a “Copy” button next to an existing row. If the maximum number of instances is reached, then those button are not available.

Each job instance can be scheduled as “Minutes”, “Hourly”, “Daily” or “Weekly” job and each must have a different name. Remember that to the name of Datapolis jobs there is a “Datapolis ” prefix added.

For each instance you can also choose on which server the job will run. In the servers dropdown list there are only those servers, that have “Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Web Application” and
“Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Workflow Timer Service” services started. In case of problems with running workflows, please make sure that the services are started on the selected server.

To restore default instances click on the “Restore default” button – this does not restored common settings for the job type.
To remove a job instance click “X” button on the right.

To accept changes made in this page click “OK” button at the bottom of the page.
To cancel changes click “Cancel” button at the bottom of the page.

New settings need more or less a one minute to propagate after the “OK” button is clicked and during this time, there will be an information at the top of the page.
