Applications (Shared Workflows)

Applications are started when workflow reaches state. Every state can start many instances of applications simultaneously. Every application contains its own functionality and communicates with workflow by its input and output parameters. You can use Datapolis Applications to combine generic processes and procedures such as booking a conference room or purchasing fixed assets then use them in workflows distributed throughout your organization.

Examples of Applications:

  • Create task for user.
  • Run job in external system (eg. SAP, Sales Force, Microsoft Dynamics etc.)
  • Run SharePoint Timer Job.

Datapolis Process System allows you to declare any workflow as Application (see: Declare Workflow as Application).

More information about how to use Applications you can find in section 4.
